Crown Prince opens the Electronic Security Center (SPA)


Riyadh – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a phone call from Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome Wirtu – they discussed historic relations between the two countries and developments at the regional and international arenas.

In a related matter, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, has confirmed the commitment of the government to do whatever contributes in protecting the security of the country, safety of its citizens and its national economy, noting that the electronic security is an integral part of this commitment.

In a key address at the opening of the electronic security center in Riyadh Wednesday evening, the Crown Prince stated that the Ministry of Interior has taken the initiative to establish an electronic security center, emanating from its national security duty.

Saudi Crown Prince drew to attention that the facility would become the Kingdom’s technological reference with regards to the security knowledge operations, sharing the information relating to the electronic dangers and threats, and the response and tackling of the electronic incidents at the national arena.

Addressing attendees, Director of the center Col. Dr. Saleh Al-Motairil said the center has also built a national platform that monitors the dangers of cyberspace around the clock in addition to the availability of national technologies, the most advanced in the region, run by a national team.
