Jeddah- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received at al-Salam palace in Jeddah on Sunday British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.

The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, deputy premier and interior minister; Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and Britain’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, Simon Collis. It tackled bilateral relations and latest developments in the region.

For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud discussed with Hammond aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields, in addition to the latest developments in the region and the stances of the two countries regarding these developments.

Their meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, adviser to the Interior Minister; Adel al-Jubeir, minister of foreign affairs; Khaled al-Humaidan, chief of General Intelligence Presidency; Col. Abdullah al-Qarni; and Simon Collis, British ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, Crown Prince approved the formation of Board of Trustees for the national program “FATIN” under his chairmanship and membership of the Ministers of Interior, Islamic Affairs, Dawa, Guidance, Labor, Social Development, Culture and Information, and the General Authority for Sport and King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue.

On this occasion, Minister of Education Dr. Ahmad Al-Issa valued this move confirming that it reflects the leadership’s keenness for its youth and nation. He said that such a step immunizes citizens against negative, destructive thoughts and helps them in building their homeland and achieving their leaders’ aspirations.
