Riyadh – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz embarked on a 31-day Asian trip that will take him to six countries.

In line with the Custodian’s willingness to promote and consolidate the Kingdom relations, in all fields, with sisterly as well as friendly countries and in response to invitations received by the King, the Saudi Monarch left in a tour that to include Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei Dar Al-Salam, Japan, China, Maldives and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The King is set to meet officials in these countries, run talks covering bilateral, regional as well as international issues of common interest.

Sunday morning, Malaysia welcomed the Custodian where the king will build ties and seek to draw more investments to the kingdom. The visit is the first by a Saudi king to Malaysia in more than a decade.

Malaysian state television on Sunday showed live footage of King Salman descending from his plane. He was received by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak before leaving in a convoy for a state ceremony at Malaysia’s parliament grounds.

The leader was greeted in parliament with a 21-gun salute.

The two countries will sign several agreements and memorandum of understanding to strengthen ties and boost cooperation

Prior to his departure, King Salman issued an order deputizing the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz to steer the state’s affairs.

The order, also, instructs the Crown Prince to look after people’s interests, all through the royal absence.

Last concluding leg of the tour will be taking part in the Arab summit on its 28th ordinary session hosted by Jordan.

At the royal plane’s gate, the Monarch was also seen off by Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh Region; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense.

A top level delegation is accompanying the King, including Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Mohammed; Prince Mansour bin Saud; Prince Mohammed bin Fahd; Prince Talal bin Saud; Prince Khalid bin Bandar, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Sattam bin Saud; Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, Consultant at the Royal Court; Prince Mansour bin Muqren, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman, Consultant at the Royal Court; Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman; Prince Abdulrahman bin Badr; Prince Saud bin Salman; Prince Naif bin Salman and Prince Rakan bin Salman.

The monarch was also accompanied by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh Al-Sheikh, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet Ibrahim al-Assaf, Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid al-Toraifi, Minister of Labor and Social Development Ali al-Ghifaidh, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nazar bin Obaid Madani and other senior protocol officials.
