Riyadh- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed on Wednesday three executive programs to support projects of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Syria, Palestine and Ethiopia with an amount of USD12 million.

This aid is in tandem with the guidelines of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to help the people in need in distressed areas.

The agreement was signed by the Adviser to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, Abdullah Al Rabeeah, and the Director of the WFP office in the GCC, Abdallah Alwardat.

These programs target more than 1.2 million individuals in Syria, providing food in besieged areas that are not accessible and 20,000 individuals in Gaza Strip as well as more than 127,000 in Ethiopia.

Alwardat said that “Saudi Arabia has always been one of the major donor countries to the World Food Program (WFP) and its contributions have saved millions of souls around the world.”
