Jeddah – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received a cable from Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, in which he expressed Kuwait’s condemnation of the terrorist attack in al-Masoura neighborhood area in the province of Qatif.

The attack was against a security patrol when terrorist elements in the city fired a rocket which resulted in the martyrdom of a soldier and injury of five others.

In his cable, Sheikh Sabah affirmed Kuwait’s full support to all measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its security and stability. He reiterated Kuwait’s stance on rejecting terrorism in all its forms and standing with the international community to eliminate it.

The Emir of Kuwait prayed to the Almighty Allah for the martyr, the injured, the kingdom and its people.

King Salman also received similar cables of condolences on the incident from Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah.

The Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement that a soldier was killed and five members of the security services were wounded in an RPG attack on a security patrol unit in al-Masoura.

In other news, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques issued a royal decree promoting and appointing 234 judges at the Ministry of Justice at various ranks, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Minister of Justice Sheikh Walid bin Mohammed al-Samaani expressed gratitude to the King for his continuing support to the Ministry of Justice.
