Jeddah- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called on pilgrims to dedicate themselves to worship and perform Hajj rituals away from actions contrary to the teachings of the Islamic religion.

King Salman’s instructions came during a Saudi Cabinet session held Monday afternoon at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom to perform Hajj rituals, the fifth pillar of Islam.

The King directed various government and private bodies related to services of pilgrims to redouble their efforts and facilitate all matters for pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals.

At the political level, the Saudi cabinet appealed to the international community and the U.N. Security Council to provide immediate and urgent protection for civilians and children in Aleppo and other Syrian cities, stop the bloodshed, and play an active role in facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid immediately instead of the forced displacement of children and their families.

The cabinet also said it strongly condemns the ongoing daily violations by the Syrian regime and its allies against civilians.

It said women and children were exposed to killing, while cities were destroyed by indiscriminate aerial bombardment and deliberate targeting of schools, hospitals and medical personnel, while the blockade was used as a tactic of war, where Syrian civilians are starving to death or ailing due to lack of medicine.

The Cabinet also noted that the foreign Revolutionary Guard forces and the so-called terrorist Hezbollah militias were contributing to the killing of civilians to support the acts carried out by the Syrian regime forces.

During the session, ministers also reviewed a number of events at various levels, renewing the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the bombing, which occurred in a hospital in Quetta in southwestern Pakistan and the bombings that took place in the Kingdom of Thailand, killing and wounding dozens of people.

The Saudi cabinet also reviewed the activities of the tenth session of Souq Okaz and commended its success, embodied through programs and visions that preserve heritage.
