King receives U.S. delegation/ SPA


Jeddah-The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received on Wednesday a U.S. delegation from the Republican and Democratic parties at his office at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The delegation included Ambassador Dennis Ross, Ambassador James F. Jeffrey; Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, Dr. Phil Gordon, Dr. Rob Dunnan, Professor Meghan O’Sullivan, Dr. Matt Spence, Dr. Samantha Rafish, Michael Allen, Maria Seksclare, and Mitchell Hochberg.

King Salman welcomed members of the U.S delegation in the Kingdom, wishing them a pleasant stay.

The delegation also thanked the King for receiving them and for the hospitality and welcome accorded to them.

During the meeting, they discussed the relations of historical and firm friendship between the Kingdom and the U.S., and aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The audience was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.

Also on Wednesday, the King sent a cable of condolences to Italian President Sergio Mattarella on the victims of the earthquake that hit Italy.

King Salman expressed condolences to the president, the families of the victims and the people of Italy, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
