King Salman meets with U.S. Ambassador at Al-Salam Palace on Wednesday (SPA)


Jeddah – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at Al-Salam Palace on Wednesday Ambassador of the United States of America Joseph W. Westphal.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed a number of topics of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nizar bin Obaid Madani.

For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior met with the U.S. ambassador on Wednesday.

Discussions during the meeting touched a number of issues that are of common interest between the Kingdom and the United States, including the means to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in light of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The meeting was held in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, adviser to the Minister of Interior.
