Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques receives Qatar’s Emir and holds luncheon in his honor (SPA)


Jeddah – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at al-Salam palace Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, the two reviewed close relations between their countries and peoples. They reviewed the strong fraternal relations and means of developing and strengthening them for the interest of both countries.

Later, King Salman held a luncheon banquet in honor of Emir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation.

The audience and the banquet were attended by Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah region Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and a number of Princes and Ministers.

From the Qatari side, they were attended by the delegation accompanying the Qatari Emir: Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Shiekh Thani bin Hamad Al Thani, Mohammed bin Nasser al-Hajiri, Head of Studies and Research at Amiri Diwan, Sheikh Seif bin Hamad Al Thani, and Ambassador of Qatar to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer al-Thani

Later in the afternoon, the Emir left Jeddah concluding his short visit to Saudi Arabia.

The Emir and accompanying delegation were seen off at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Governor of Makkah Region Prince Khalid al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, President of General Authority for Sport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohamed Abdul Malik al-Sheikh, Ambassador of Qatar to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer al-Thani and the Qatari embassy staff.
