Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Holds Talks with King of Spain (SPA)


Riyadh – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz discussed with King Felipe VI of the Kingdom of Spain bilateral relations and the means to promote cooperation on different levels.

The official meeting, held at Al-Yamama Palace on Sunday, also saw discussions over the latest developments in the Middle East and the situation in regional countries.

The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Mansour bin Khalid Al Farhan, Saudi ambassador to Spain; Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, Minister of Culture and Information, who is also the official guide of the Spanish visiting delegation and Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance.

Senior Spanish officials, accompanying the monarch, also attended the meeting.

King Felipe VI arrived in Riyadh on Saturday in a three-day state visit aimed at building strong relationships between Saudi Arabia and Spain.

Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz, emir of Riyadh Region, received the monarch at King Khalid International Airport.

Also on Sunday, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received at Al-Yamamah palace Grand Mufti of the Republic of Lebanon Sheikh Abdulatif Derian.

The audience was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi and a number of Lebanese officials.
