Riyadh, Capitals of the world- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz telephoned Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, expressing his sincere condolences to the president and the Egyptian people on the victims of terrorist acts in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria, Saudi Press Agency reported.

King Salman also expressed the kingdom’s strong condemnation of this criminal and sinful act of terrorism, which contradicts with the values of Islam and the principles of humanity and morality, SPA said.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, have also cabled the Egyptian president to offer condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured speedy recovery.

Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the president of the UAE, also offered their condolences.

The Bahraini government decried the terrorist attacks, ensuring that the Bahraini kingdom will support Egypt in facing terrorism in all its forms.

The Sultanate of Oman too denounced the two attacks in the Egyptian cities of Tanta and Alexandria.

US President Donald Trump tweeted: “So sad to hear of the terrorist attack. US strongly condemns. I have great confidence that President Sisi will handle situation properly.”

Condemnations were also made by Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union (EU), members of the Security Council and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
