King Salman arrives in Madinah and visits the Prophet’s Mosque. SPA


Jeddah-The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited late Wednesday the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah where he held prayers and received two gifts: a rare copy of the Holy Koran and a book from the library of the Prophet’s Mosque.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques had arrived on Wednesday evening in Madinah, coming from Jeddah province.

King Salman was received at the airport in Madinah by a number of princes and senior officials.

Before his departure to Madinah, the King was bided farewell at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Turki, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources and a number of princes and senior, civil and military, officials.

King Salman was also bided farewell at the door of the plane by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Advisor to the King and the Governor of Makkah Region and Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah.

The King was accompanied by a number of princes, advisors, ministers and high-level officials.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior had also arrived in Madinah on Wednesday night, coming from Jeddah.

At Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region, Prince Nawaf bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and a number of senior, civil and military, officials.

The Crown Prince was also accompanied by a number of princes, advisors and officials.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is expected to inaugurate in Madinah a number of important development projects, in each of the medical, educational, water, municipal and electricity sectors. King Salman will also visit the already executed development projects in Madinah, which was and will always be under his patronage and supervision.

King Salman’s visit to Madinah is the second since taking the throne.
