Makkah – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, patronized the graduation ceremony of a qualifying course on civil defense work in Makkah.

During the ceremony, the Crown Prince presented certificates to the graduates from various specialties of fire safety, disaster management, specialists in paramedics and many others.

The Crown Prince was received at the ceremony by Director General of Civil Defense Major General Sulaiman bin Abdullah al-Amr and civil defense officials.

Amr expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Crown Prince for patronizing the ceremony which will give a great incentive for the Civil Defense to exert more efforts to achieve the leadership’s aspirations. He added that the number of graduates reached 1,712, all of whom received the required practical and technical studies as part of their one-year curriculum.

Amr expressed his gratitude to Civil Defense Institute personnel for their work that contributes to the development of training, noting at the same time to the support of the government which has led to an improvement in civil defense capabilities and readiness.

He also urged all graduates to benefit from the experiences of their predecessors.

Then, graduate Riyad Abdallah al-Shahri delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, expressing pride that the Crown Prince patronized and honored their ceremony.

The graduates pledged to continue learning after joining the field work of civil defense. They also assured the leadership they’d be loyal soldiers in performing their duties under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince.

Following the speech ceremony, the graduates demonstrated the skills they have acquired during the training and held a military parade. They then recited the pledge of allegiance, vowing to serve the religion, the leadership and the country.

At the end of the ceremony, the Crown Prince viewed models of the civil defense centers for the holy sites.
