The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz who is also the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior emphasised yesterday that the sacrifices of martyrs of duty, prisoners, those wounded and missing will always be a source of pride to the country’s leadership and people. He added that their families and loved ones will be cared for out of loyalty for those who sacrificed themselves in the service of religion and the homeland and deterring anyone who tries to compromise the security of the nation and its citizens, residents and expatriates.

Prince Mohammed bin Nayef made these comments at his office in the ministry yesterday in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Martyrs and Wounded, Prisoners and Missing Persons Fund during the first founding meeting of the fund.

The Saudi Crown Prince confirmed that the Martyrs, the wounded, Prisoners and Missing Fund enjoys great care and attention from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz as a result of his recognition of their sacrifice and crucial role in maintaining the security of the homeland.

The meeting was attended by members of the fund’s board of trustees including the Minister of the National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; the Deputy Crown Prince who is also Second Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh Al Sheikh; the Minister of Finance Dr Ibrahim Al-Assaf and the Minister of Labour and Social Development Dr Mufarij bin Saad Al-Hagbani.

Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef met South Korea’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Kwon Pyung-oh at the Ministry of Interior yesterday. They discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries regarding a number of topics that are of common interest to both parties during their meeting.
