Riyadh – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, discussed with Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain fraternal relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields.

During the official talks held in Riyadh, the two discussed means of enhancing the current security cooperation between their countries and fighting extremism and terrorism.

The two officials also reviewed and discussed the latest developments in the Arab Gulf, Arab world and international arenas.

The Crown Prince of Bahrain highlighted the longstanding historic ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He also noted the importance of building on these strong foundations through further cooperation.

Prince Salman expressed Bahrain’s appreciation and gratitude for the strategic support and guidance it receives across all sectors from Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The visiting Prince also expressed his pride in the leading role Saudi Arabia plays in supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and spearheading GCC-wide initiatives.

He praised Saudi Arabia’s leading efforts, alongside regional partners, in maintaining regional security and stability, and its effective contribution to the international campaign to defeat terrorism and eradicate it at source.

The audience was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Interior Minister; Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Mohammed bin Abdulmalik Al al-Sheikh, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Nizar bin Obaid Madani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; General Abdulaziz bin Mohammed al-Howairini, Director General of General Investigations; and Khalid bin Ali al-Homaidan, Chief of General Intelligence.

On the Bahraini side, the meeting was attended by the Bahraini Crown Prince’s accompanying delegation and Bahrain’s ambassador to the Kingdom, Sheikh Homoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

Prior to the official talks, Crown Prince Mohammed held a lunch party in honor of visiting Crown Prince Salman and the accompanying delegation.

The event was attended by Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet who is also Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu; Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman, Governor of Al-Dareya; Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid, Consultant at the Royal Court; Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Mohammed, Consultant at the Royal Court; Prince Saad bib Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed; Prince Abdullah bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Sports Authority; other princes and senior civil and military officials.

Crown Prince Salman, who is also Deputy Commander-in-chief of Bahrain Defense Force and First Deputy Premier of the Kingdom, arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday on an official visit to Saudi Arabia. He was received by Crown Prince Mohammed; Sheikh Homoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s ambassador to the Kingdom; and Mohammed bin Abdullah Al al-Sheikh, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet.

The Crown Prince of Bahrain was accompanied by a number of high-ranking officials.
