We witness today the clear-cut trust in Saudi security bodies, on an internal level, as the Kingdom keeps on averting continuous attempts to disturb its stability and security, and target its community makeup in both a sectarian and religious manner.

Asharq Al- Awsat lists here a mere flashback of security events of terrorist attacks, which have been highlighted with bloodshed, revealing al-Qaeda’s darkest secrets, and presenting its convicts to justice.

January 2012: the Ministry of Interior announces a roster of 23 wanted convicts.

July 2012: Masked bandits deploy a hand grenade in a police station in Al-Awamiyah, and the arrest of one of the terrorists

September 2012: One of the wanted convicts is killed in a shooting that was set off by the terrorists onto security men

March 2013: Wanted convicts are captured by Security Forces

April 2013: Al-Awamiyah police station targeted again by unidentified gunmen shooting

January 2014: A German diplomatic vehicle belonging to the embassy is subjected to shooting that led to the vehicle’s combustion

January 2014: Security forces capture wanted accomplices in the shootings on security units

February 2014: Shooting by unidentified gunmen at security men in Al-Awamiyah police station

September 2014: Intense shooting at the security confiscation center in Al-Awamiyah’s entrance, the shooting resulted in the injury of a security officer

September 2014: A security point is subjected to anonymous shooting

November 2014: Two young men are injured by shootings perpetrated by masked gunmen

November 2014: A resident is injured by several gunshots

December 2014: the capture of one of those involved with the shootings and the threatening of civilian security

October 2014: A police patrol is attacked with a shooting at Al-Awamiyah’s entrance

December 2014: Four wanted convicts in Al-Awamiyah killed by a police maneuver, and a security force officer is injured

April 2015: Security forces arrests 4 wanted men possessing weapons and ammunition after an armed confrontation that resulted in the death of a police officer

June 2015: Anonymous bike rider murders a citizen and injures two others

October 2015: The Ministry of Interior announces the execution of a security search operation of a suspected site in Al-Awamiyah, in which they have confiscated a large number of machinegun ammunition

November 2015: Security forces arrest the murderer of “Daiyf Allah al-Qrshi” a Saudi citizen, five months after the incident in a fire clash

January 2016: Security systems arrest the wanted “Moufeed al-A’amran” convicted of perpetuated crimes against security officers in Al-Awamiyah and others

This represents a simple flash back of a timeline in which the evident resilience of Saudi Security Forces against frequent terrorist attacks is illustrated. The fight against terrorism never stopped, nor was a breath saved in the efforts of Saudi Arabia against this internationally growing abomination called “terrorism”.
