Jeddah, Asharq Al-Awsat – Saudi Arabia on Thursday announced that it had expelled three people working at Syria’s consulate in Jeddah. The Saudi Press Agency [SPA] issued the following report:
In response to a number of inquiries about the deportation, by the Saudi authorities, of three staff members of the Jeddah-based Syrian Consulate General, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that this action has been taken in accordance with the public interest as authorities have concluded that their behavior is incompatible with their consular duties and assignments.
