Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- Saudi Arabia yesterday condemned in the strongest terms the flagrant Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and welcomes any urgent Arab League meeting to discuss a response to the Israeli massacres in Gaza.

An official source said yesterday that Saudi Arabia “is following with deep concern the collapse of the truce and the flagrant aggression perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip without any consideration for any moral principles, human considerations or resolutions by the international legitimacy.” The source added that Saudi Arabia is making urgent contacts to stop this bloody Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

In other news, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Hisham Moheiuddin Nazer said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered the concerned authorities in the Kingdom to provide immediate medical assistance for Palestinians who are victims of Israel’s aggression in Gaza Strip on Saturday

The King’s order has directed Saudi public and private hospitals to receive and treat the wounded Palestinians and to carry the injured wishing to be treated in the Kingdom on board Saudi medical evacuation aircraft.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency in Cairo on Saturday evening, the Ambassador pointed out that the first plane loaded with medicines and other assistance will arrive at Al-Arish Airport on Sunday, noting that officials from the Saudi embassy will receive and hand it over to the Egyptian Red Crescent.

He affirmed that there is a complete coordination between the Saudi Embassy in Cairo and Palestinian and Egyptian authorities for the success of this process.
