ISLAMABAD, Asharq Al-Awsat- Pakistani Prime Minister shaukat aziz received today Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, who is currently on a two day official visit to Pakistan.

They held a closed- door meeting. Later, members of the official delegations of the two countries joined them in an open session. They reviewed bilateral relations and the latest developments at Islamic and international arenas, notably the Palestinian problem and the current situation in Iraq. Foreign ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam to the AFP that the visit was part of high level contacts with Saudi Arabia with which “we have unique and important relationship.”She said the discussions would focus on defense cooperation and other areas of close bilateral relations..Saudi Arabia is the largest oil supplier to Pakistan and was the single largest donor, with more than 500 million dollars, after the massive earthquake that killed 74,000 people and displaced more than 3.5 million others last October in Kashmir.
