Tal Aviv- Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan has revealed that the majority of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump accompanying team is pro-settlements.

During a radio interview, Dagan said that he received an invitation to attend the transition of presidency given the strong ties between the elected president and settlements. He revealed that he has a present to Trump; “a basket of vegetables and fruits from the settlements’ gardens,” neglecting the fact that they were planted in Palestinian occupied lands.

Dagan stated that since the beginning of 2017, politicians and deputies from all over the world are visiting the settlements on a weekly basis and are being taken in a tourist tour.

“We discovered that our first enemy is ignorance because the world is unfamiliar with our cause as settlers. Seven years ago, we started a campaign to serve the purpose of introducing our condition. We had our eye on Trump, from the very beginning, and we believed in his ability to achieve victory. We met him and urged our friends in the U.S. to vote for him,” he added.
