GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) – Palestinian medical officials say two Hamas militants have been wounded in an Israeli attack in the northern Gaza Strip.

Residents say the militants were firing mortar shells at nearby Israeli troops when they were attacked. Palestinian medics say one of the militants is in critical condition.

Saturday’s incident occurred near the Nahal Oz fuel depot on the border between Israel and Gaza. The depot is used to pump fuel into Gaza.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the incident.
