Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- Five countries have refused to host Abdul Rahman Al Attawi the Saudi national imprisoned in Israel.

This came after Al Attawi applied to the Israeli prisons authority requesting to be extradited to one of these countries, according to Al Attawi’s attorney Buthayna Duqmass, the president of Mandela human rights association, during her visit to him last October 31st.

The countries refusing to receive him are: Fenland, Sweden, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, while five other countries have even refused to allow the Saudi prisoner to pass over there air space, according to what the international Red Cross told the captive himself.

Kateb Al Shamry, Al Attawi attorney in Saudi Arabia said that his client still awaits the approval of authorities of any country that will accept to receive him, as per his request, to be deported outside of Israel, after he has completed serving his sentence which ended on 21st of May 2005, which means that his jail term was completed over a year and a half ago.

The Saudi captive remains in the Israeli prison of “Massiyahu”, in a cell block 15, which holds over 120 detainees of different nationalities.
