Qatar officially submitted on Monday its response to the list of demands made by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt to end their boycott of the Arab state.

The reply of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was delivered by Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah, reported the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The agency had earlier reported that it had received Doha’s response, but Kuwait had requested an extension of the deadline by 48 hours.

The Emir of Kuwait had made the request to the four countries and they had complied with him.

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt are meanwhile scheduled to meet in Cairo on Wednesday to study their next steps in tackling the Gulf diplomatic crisis.

Egypt revealed that the meeting was being held at the request of its Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri.

The four Arab countries had cut their ties with Qatar over its support for terrorism. They made a list of demands for it in order to end the boycott. It was given ten days to comply with it. The deadline ended on Sunday.
