Kuwait-For the second consecutive day, Kuwait has continued to celebrate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque’s visit.

With the p[resence of Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah held a luncheon at Bayan Palace in honor of the visiting Saudi Monarch.

Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and his guest, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, attended a special ceremony held in honor of the Monarch at Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad Cultural Center on Friday.

The reception has witnessed miscellaneous cultural events, including child contribution, poetry, documentary film on the Saudi-Kuwaiti relations through history, folklore dances and tableaus depicting Saudi as well as Kuwaiti maritime related arts.

As the presentations concluded, the King received three presents from the minister of information, Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Abdulaziz Is’haq, President of the Executive Committee overseeing cultural centers.

Sheikh Sabah and King Salman were received at the center by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem al-Sabah, and Abdulaziz Ishaq, head of the financial and administrative affairs at the Amiri Diwan and chairman of the executive committee, tasked with building and managing Amiri Diwan’s cultural centers.

The ceremony was attended by Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, former National Assembly Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim, senior Sheikhs, Sheikh Nasser Mohammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah and First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah.

Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, Deputy Amiri Diwan Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Jarrah al-Sabah, Deputy Premier, Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh, senior officers at the army, police, National Guard and fire brigades also attended the ceremony.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad al-Khaled al-Sabah expressed deep satisfaction with the current historic visit to the country by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This visit signals the solid and deeply-rooted relations between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Sheikh Mohammad, also the head of the accompanying mission of honor, in a statement.

“Peoples of the two brotherly countries look forward to this visit with respect of its impact on regional states’ development and prosperity,” he said, noting the Kingdom’s solid stance on Kuwait’s side during the 1990 Iraqi aggression and its warm hosting of Kuwaiti citizens at these hard times.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia constitutes “the strategic depth and the solid shield in facing dangers and challenges,” he said, affirming the vital Saudi support for the State of Kuwait.

In conclusion, he indicated at the high-esteem status of the Kingdom in the eyes of Arab people, noting the resolve of King Salman and Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al- Jaber al-Sabah for maintaining security, stability and welfare in the Arab world.
