Kuwait – Kuwait has recently celebrated the official visit of the top Gulf leader Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz. King Salman was awarded the Order of Mubarak Al-Kabir and Order of Kuwait, the most prestigious Kuwaiti medals by national leader Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Both King Salman and Sheikh Al-Sabah discussed the historic bilateral relations shared by the two Gulf States, in addition to recent regional developments.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s visit to Kuwait was the last stop in a Gulf tour seeing four states.

King Salman Bin Abdulaziz was welcomed at the airport by Sheikh Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, senior sheikhs along with top officials, reported the Kuwait state news agency KUNA.

“The visit will be a historic juncture in the relationships between the two countries in all fields which stood the test of time and continue to serve the joint interests, and fend off the common threats and challenges,” Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said in statements to KUNA.

Kuwait was the fourth leg in Saudi King Salman’s tour that included UAE, Qatar and Bahrain where he attended the 37th GCC Summit.

Earlier, King Salman was accorded a warm reception on the occasion of the start of his official visit to Bahrain. During the King’s visit to the Gulf State he held wide ranging talks with Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
