Riyadh-The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aids (KSCRHA) has effectively covered Yemen’s WHO contribution for the last four years which sums to a total of $185,790.

In its aims to aid the people of Yemen, the center has paid the dues of Yemen’s Ministry of Public Health and Population, so the people of Yemen can continue to benefit from the latest findings in worldwide medical fields. This also allows the country to keep in touch with emerging global technologies in the field of health.

The center’s underwriting of the membership will ensure the Yemeni government’s active participation at the world health body and enables it to continue exercising its voting rights at the World Health Assembly.

Official delegates from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) had visited King Salman’s relief center, meeting with KSCRHA’s executive director Maher Elhoudraoa and many other center officials.

The delegation led by U.N. Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Jamie McGoldrick had discussed several topics concerning relief and humanitarian efforts in Yemen.

McGoldrick later confirmed that the meeting was positive, and that coordination and cooperative future work frames were discussed in regards of food and health security in Yemen.

The U.N. coordinator also said that he will be looking forward to visiting Riyadh once again to reassess what had been discussed on cooperation and on sustaining humanitarian needs in Yemen.

Yemen’s Humanitarian Secretary General Advisor Radwan Nowaiser expressed his deep appreciation of the partnership established with King Salman’s center. He lauded the massive development and change the center had brought to Yemen, and that efforts are being spent to bolster ties with the center so that the partnership evolves in a long term relationship.

“It is because we believe in the honorable, humanitarian, regional and generous role played by KSCRHA,” said Nowaiser.
