Riyadh-The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia met at Al-Yamamah Palace on Tuesday with Nigerian President Mohammed Bukhari, who is currently visiting Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields as well as the latest developments at Islamic and international arenas.

The session was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz, Minister of state, member of Ministry Council, and advisor to King Salman, Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musa’ed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani, and Saudi Ambassador to Nigeria Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sifayan.

The President was accompanied to the talks by a delegation comprising among others, government officials and some private sector operators, including the governors Kashim Shettima of Borno, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun and Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina. In addition, there were the Ministers of State for Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibeh Kachikwu and his Foreign Affairs counterpart, Amb. Geoffrey Onyeama.

Some of the private sector players on the entourage of the President included the Group Managing Director of Oando Petroleum, Mr. Wale Tinubu as well as the Chairman of Bulet Construction Company, Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua.

After the official welcome ceremony, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of the Nigerian leader and his delegation, which were also received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar.

The leaders of Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed commitment to a stable oil market and a rebound of oil price as they were united on the fact that their two economies are tied to oil and that all could not be well with both countries with an unstable oil market. They, therefore, resolved to commit themselves to doing all that was possible to stabilize the market and rebound the oil price.
