The King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid yesterday signed a contract to extend the provision of medical services with an Al-Braihi international group hospital in Taiz. The contract means that 150 wounded people will be treated and provided with medical services including surgical operations in Taiz.

The Supervisor General of the centre who is also a Consultant at the Royal Court Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee’a signed on behalf of the centre while the manager of the hospital Dr Najeeb Al-Braihi signed on behalf of the hospital in the presence of Yemen’s Minister of Public Health and Population Dr Nasser Baoam who is also a member of the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen.

Al-Rabee’a said that the provision of services is an implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz that aim to care for the Yemeni people and provide them with everything that they need. He also noted that the centre supports hospitals and health sectors in Yemen by providing medical and health services and that this is in collaboration with the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen, Yemen’s Ministry of Health and Population and international organisations. The support is provided through programmes implemented by the centre in order to treat injured and wounded Yemenis abroad.

The Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Saudi government and the Saudi people for supporting and standing by the Yemeni people by easing the pressure on public hospitals.

He also confirmed that the King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid was the first to lift the siege on Taiz and deliver food aid and medical supplies to its people.
