Riyadh- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Saturday at Al-Auja Palace, received U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss regional developments and the efforts spent across the region.

Both The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and US Secretary talked over the recent happenings on the Syrian arena in addition to discussing the importance of addressing the Iranian interference in other countries’ affairs.

Also, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is also the second deputy prime minister and Saudi Arabia’s minister of defense, attended the meeting.

Later on, in a press conference, Saudi Minister of foreign affairs Adel Al-Jubeir stated that Kerry expressed the US concern about the Iranian doings in other Arabian countries, in addition to the continuous support, which accounts to an approximate 80 thousand missiles, the Lebanese Hezbollah is receiving from Tehran.

US Secretary Kerry has also clarified that his administration completely understands the fears of Gulf countries towards Iran after lifting the nuclear sanctions off of Iran, and that Washington is committed alongside the other P5+1 nations to stand before any imposed threat.

FM Al-Jubeir said that the foreign ministers of the GCC have looked into the depth of the Iranian regional interference with US Secretary Kerry and have also discussed Tehran’s sponsoring for terrorism and terror organizations.

Furthermore, in view of the Army of the Guardians’ leader proclaiming the training of 200 thousand combatants in Arabian countries, Saudi AM Al-Jubeir clarified that the declarations are hostile and offensive, and that there is no clear sight into their credibility. However, Al-Jubeir made it clear that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is prepared to take all measures necessary to defend its land and people, and all Iranian interference compromising Saudi Arabia’s homeland security is unacceptable and will be put to an end.
