Manama-Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised on Wednesday the Bahrain Defense Forces (BDF) in their efforts along with the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to restore hope in Yemen and help heal the sufferings of the Yemeni people.

King Hamad also praised the efforts of the Royal Special forces in defending the Kingdom and protecting the dignity and security of its people.

The King, who is the high commander of the BDF, paid a visit Wednesday to the Royal Special Force where he was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Royal Special Force Commander, Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior officers.

King Hamad met a number of officers from the Royal Special Force and listened to a briefing on its duties and future development plans.

He commended the honorable patriotic efforts of the personnel in performing their duties with utmost competence.

King Hamad praised their combat readiness, high adeptness and rapid response to any assigned duty.

The Special Forces were also applauded for their high professionalism and cooperation with the BDF staff to fulfill their national duty in defending the homeland and its civilizational achievements as well as citizens’ dignity and security.

King Hamad said: “Nations grow thanks to their loyal people,” adding that he wished the BDF personnel every success for their efforts.

The King also praised the BDF troops’ continuous participation, alongside their brethren from the Saudi-led Arab Coalition forces, in “Operation Restoring Hope” in Yemen and their contribution to the humanitarian relief operations there.
