New Delhi, Asharq Al-Awsat- Security has been heightened around British prime minister Tony Blair and his Indian counterpart, Manmohan Singh at the hotel in which their meeting is due to take place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, following death threats from the Kashmiri militant group, Al-Mansoorain.

The mentioned group had reportedly sent threats to local newspapers and the hotel itself, stating that if Pakistan nationals held in Indian prisons were not released; the group would launch terror attacks.

Despite the doubts concerning the authenticity of the threats, security forces remained vigilant, prepared to foil any potential terrorist operations following the change in the meetings venue. The Prime Ministers were arranged to meet in Shimla, however the meeting has been re-located to Lake City in Udaipur due to severe weather conditions, according to informed sources.
