El-Arish, Egypt-Hundreds of protesters took to the streets to denounce terrorism on Sunday, more than a week after deadly bombings struck the Red Sea resort of Sharm-Al-Sheikh.
"No, no to terrorism," read a banner held by the demonstrators, who included religious clerics, local officials and parliament members. "Yes to security and stability," declared another.
The crowd gathered outside the headquarters of the ruling National Democratic Party, preparing to march in el-Arish under the watchful eyes of police who have spread out in the city, The Associated Press reported.
On July 23, three blasts hit Sharm-Al-Sheikh. The official death toll stands at 64.
