BEIRUT (AP) – Hezbollah’s leader says the Lebanese militant group will improve its weapons capabilities to face off any Israeli threat.

Hassan Nasrallah says armed struggle is the only way to regain Arab lands captured by Israel and Hezbollah will never recognize any peace agreement between Arabs and the Jewish state.

Nasrallah spoke Monday at a news conference in which he detailed the group’s new political manifesto, the second since Hezbollah was founded in 1982 to fight Israel’s invading military.

He gave no details on the weapons plans.

The militant group fought a war with Israel in 2006 that killed around 1,200 people in Lebanon and 160 in Israel. The group showed then that it had a significant rocket capability.
