Gaza, Asharq Al-Awsat- The Hamas movement will start in the coming days a series of meetings with representatives of Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip to discuss the future of the calm with Israel in view of the latter’s recent military escalation that killed 20 Palestinians within three weeks, Asharq Al-Awsat has learned.

Informed Palestinian sources told Asharq Al-Awsat that Hamas aims to reach a general framework that organizes the issue of responding to the Israeli attacks and pointed out that the interior ministry of the dismissed government had in fact held meetings with the representatives of several factions and stressed that most of the factions are interested in reaching an agreement on the need not to give Israel reasons for launching a new aggression.
