JERUSALEM (AP) — A hacker claiming to be a 19-year-old Saudi has posted thousands of Israeli credit card numbers and other personal data online, in the second politically-motivated attack of its kind this week.

The head of Israel’s data protection agency Yoram Hacohen says that the hacker, who uses the pseudonym 0xOmar, had released the details of 6000 active accounts late Thursday. Another 15,000 were made public earlier in the week.

The hacker for his part claims to have posted details about 400,000 Israelis. He blames the “Zionist lobby” for covering up the size of the leak, in remarks published on the Internet.

Israeli credit card companies say they quickly closed the compromised accounts, and are boosting their staff for the weekend in case more data is released.
