Dakar- “Effects of Terrorism on Development and Stability” Conference organized by World Islamic League in Dakar, Senegal concluded its activities on Wednesday.
The conference praised efforts made by Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership to face terrorism and combat extremism and fanaticism. The conference also lauded Riyadh’s efforts to disseminate awareness amidst the nation and its eagerness to promote stability and security in the world.
It also commended the Kingdom’s efforts in serving Muslims and Islam, boosting Islamic acts, and combatting deviant thoughts, sectarianism terrorism, and extremism.
Serving the Two Holy Mosques, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud’s keenness on spreading Islam and working on achieving Islamic unity was also praised in the conference.
Participants in the conference indicated that the success of the Kingdom is linked to applying Islamic law, the keenness of its leaders in maintaining security of its citizens and residents on its territory, and the cohesion of its people with its leadership, along with promoting Islamic solidarity and asserting that Islam renounces terrorism and terrorists.
Terrorism, according to participants, was defined as a crime that is committed to discredit Islam, hamper its spread, destabilize security, and disable development programs. They confirmed that Islam prohibits intimidating secured people, targeting innocents and destructing institutes.
The participants also denounced accusations of terrorism against the Islamic nation, religion and heritage. They said that this charge hinders efforts in the fight against terrorism, ignores the efforts of Muslims in international cooperation, and threatens security and global stability.
Furthermore, participants condemned Israel’s crimes against Palestinians, from besieging to killing, intimidating and arrest; in addition to their attempts to Judaize Jerusalem and desecrate Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque.
The conference called the United Nations to put an end to the practices of Hindus in Burma against Muslims, include it among countries that practice terrorism, and punish the perpetrators.
