In our issue of Sunday 27 March 2016 we published an article headlined “Iranian Agents are active in Libya- and they are pushing it towards division”, in which we reported the findings of intelligence reports from Tripoli, which referred to an individual given the nickname “Aghil”. Mohamed Aghil, a prominent Libyan businessman originally from Waddan in Southern Libya, has expressed concern to us that some readers may have understood the article to refer to him. He wishes us to make clear that he is not the “Aghil” to which the article referred, and so is not to be suspected of being an Iranian agent. It was not our intention to refer to Mohamed Aghil.
