Political sources in Sana’a stated that former President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Houthi militants have begun to crowd up members of clans located near the Capital, in the aim of recruiting them; in preparation for the anticipated battle to free Sana’a.

Saleh and the Houthis have resorted to religious Zaidiyyah (Shiite) Marjaʿ (Source to Follow) in the objective of encouraging citizens to get involved with the recruited ranks.

Mohammed al-Muta’a, aged 80, one of the Zaidiyyah Marjaʿ has issued a Fatwa (Legal opinion concerning Islamic Law) charging all leaderships supporting legitimacy in Yemen with infidelity and thus religiously commends spilling their blood. Not only that, but al-Muta’a also charged all those who oppose Abdul-Malik al-Houthi with infidelity. Al-Muta’a’s Fatwa has called for what he labels as “Jihad”.

However, these Fatwas were met with broad criticism. Political sources said that all efforts to drive in religious Fatwas into the conflict are being responded to with utter passiveness. All clans surrounding the outskirts of Sana’a, whom now happen to have a majority that supports constitutional legitimacy, refuse supporting insurgency under any naming whatsoever, whether it called ideology, sect, or regionalism.

In view of that, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, conducted a field visit to the Bahraini Royal Guard, whom are participating with the Arabian coalition supporting Yemen’s legitimacy.

During his visit, King Hamad gave a speech speaking of nations that rise with its faithful men’s efforts and sacrifices. King Hamad also praised the Bahraini Royal Guard for their participation in the Arabian coalition of both operations, the “Decisive Storm” and “Restoring Hope” led by Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, on the subject of the operations, “Decisive Storm” and “Restoring Hope”, King Hamad stated that they serve “In Defense of what is right and legitimate, based on the resolutions of the United Nations, and for all of what is good in Yemen and its honorable people”.
