Bosnian officials Hold Emergency Meeting over Wanted Terrorist

London, Asharq Al-Awsat- The Bosnian government held an emergency meeting yesterday to investigate reports Alleging that Moroccan national Younes Mohamed Ibrahim Al- Hayari, the most wanted terror suspect from the list of 36 issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry recently holds a Bosnian nationality.

After the meeting, Bosnian Security Minister Barisa Colak officially denied that Al-Hayari holds a Bosnian citizenship. The Bosnian government’s denial came after an extensive investigation into the names of people that have optioned Bosnian citizenships.

The Bosnian government has striped over 700 people of their Bosnian

citizenships that were obtained between the years 1992 and 1995.

Elsewhere a source at the Saudi Embassy in Beirut has denied media reports that wanted Saudi terrorist Fayez Ibrahem Ayoub the 29th most wanted terrorist had given himself up at the Saudi Embassy. The source told Asharq Al-Awsat “these reports were far from the truth and are strictly rumors”.

Saudi Arabia has been battling militants loyal to bin Laden”s al Qaeda network, who have staged several bloody attacks on foreign residents, government sites and energy-industry installations in the last two years.

Officials say at least 90 civilians and more than 40 members of the security forces have been killed in the last two years and militant attacks have caused at least 1 billion riyals ($270 million) worth of damage. Police have killed more than 100 militants in the same period.
