At least 4 killed as Mecca building collapses-UAE - ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive

MECCA, Saudi Arabia (Reuters) – A four-story building housing Muslim pilgrims collapsed in the holy city of Mecca on Thursday and the United Arab Emirates said four of its citizens had been killed.

The UAE’s state WAM news agency said the pilgrims were killed while passing in front of the building as it crumbled. Saudi civil defense officials said an unknown number of people were injured.
