London, Asharq Al-Awsat—As part of its continuing expansion, Asharq Al-Awsat is pleased to announce the soft launch of its online Persian edition, Sharq Parsi.

Sharq Parsi aims to reflect the geopolitical and cultural significance of current affairs in the Middle East to Persian speakers. It strives to offer balanced, in-depth and up-to-date news coverage and analysis of the Middle East.

As part of this mission, Sharq Parsi publishes Persian versions of articles from Asharq Al-Awsat’s Arabic and English editions.

Asharq Al-Awsat is printed simultaneously each day on four continents in 14 cities. Launched in London in 1978, Asharq Al-Awsat has established itself as the decisive publication on Arab and international affairs, offering its readers in-depth analysis and exclusive editorials, as well as the most comprehensive coverage of the entire Arab world.

The newspaper is well known for conducting interviews with world leaders and influential players. Asharq Al-Awsat’s Head of Digital and Online Services, Adwan Al Ahmari, highlighted that Sharq Parsi is part of plans to launch several news sites in the coming months, including in the Turkish and Chinese languages. Al Ahmari said: “The official launch of the Persian website will be in October, preceded by the official launch of the new Arabic-language Asharq Al-Awsat website in September in Riyadh.”
