Manama- Isa Cultural Center held an expert seminar titled “Intellectual Storm Coalition 2: Islamic Coalition Countering Terrorism”, which ran its second rotation in Bahrain.

Attending experts emphasized that reinforcing Arab cooperation is –now more than ever- an overwhelming necessity for the security and strategic framework on countering ideological extremism.

Fighting extremism includes sectarian fascism, which aims at eradicating the very concept of nationalism and stamping out loyalty Arab people hold for their countries.

Intellectuals and representatives of research centers across the Arab world highlighted that Iran has adopted an agenda working towards realizing a long-desired dream of Persian-Iranian domination and expansion over the Arab Gulf and the world.

The Iranian project threatening the region’s sovereignty is no longer a looming hypothesis, but has entered a phase of implementation.

Execution can be detected through closely examining Iran’s clear and blunt support for extremism, which is manifested in backing the Lebanon-based terrorist organization Hezbollah. Iran has projected its support for extremism inside and outside the Arab world in terms of moral and financial assistance.

The seminar ended with a statement which condemns both Iran and Israel for sponsoring regional terrorism.

Each of the Lebanon based-Hezbollah in Bahrain and Syria; the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq; Houthis in Yemen; al-Qaeda and ISIS; according to the statement have been condemned as a production of Iranian and Israeli authorities used to infiltrate Arab countries.

Experts at the seminar have positively supported all cooperative military efforts, such as the “Decisive Storm” and the “Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism (IMAFT)”.

Military cooperation was able to confront challenges and dangers threatening Arab countries, and has conserved territorial unity of countries, which were threatened by movements backed by terror-sponsoring countries inciting division.

The Arab military cooperation has saved no effort to preserving Arab interest, and restoring security, national balance and regional strategic stability.

The final seminar statement confirmed the importance of efficiently employing strategic benefits of research and study centers, and that scientific outcome and ideological achievements ought to be engaged in the decision-making process and strategic planning of Arab countries.

The statement emphasized that terrorism is not related in any way to any religion, sect, or country and is generated by expanding extremist ideology.

Spreading out extremism is manifested in the phenomenon of intellectual armed violence, which is receiving regional and foreign support. The level extremism has reached urges on an immediate confrontation which averts its ideological, social and instructive impact.
