Najran-Insurgents in Yemen continued over the weekend to carry out their usual crimes and attacks on Saudi Arabia’s southern border.

After the death of a Saudi child on Saturday as a result of a projectile attack from Yemeni territories, rebels launched another projectile on Sunday, leaving two Saudi girls dead and five members of their family injured.

Official Spokesman of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Najran Lieutenant Colonel Ali bin Omair Al Shahrani said in a statement that on Sunday night, civil defense men responded to a report on the fall of a military projectile from inside Yemeni territory on the home of a citizen, which resulted in the death of two children and five members of their family.

The wounded family members were taken to hospital for treatment, he said.

On Saturday, a Saudi child was killed and four others were wounded in a similar attack from Yemeni territories in Najran, according to the Twitter account of Civil Defense.

Houthi insurgents repeatedly fire rockets and ballistic missiles towards southern Saudi territories. But usually Patriot missile batteries intercept them.
