JERUSALEM, (AP) – Two Israeli border policemen have been convicted of manslaughter in the 2002 kidnapping and death of a Palestinian teenager.

According to court documents, the two marked their last day of service in the West Bank town of Hebron by kidnapping four Palestinians, hustling them into a jeep and beating them with truncheons and rifles.

Two of the Palestinians were hurled from the moving vehicle. One of them, 17-year-old Amran Abu Hamadiya, struck his head on the road and died.

The officers who were convicted Tuesday in Jerusalem District Court were identified in the court documents as Shahar Botbeka and Denis Alhazov.

Two other officers reached a plea bargain separately in the same case.
