14 Men Sentenced for Terrorist Activities in Iraq | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

Baghdad, Asharq Al-Awsat- Iraq ’s Central Criminal court found 14 men guilty of taking part in terrorist activities and sentenced them to between two years and life imprisonment.

Amongst those convicted was Burhan Jalal Ibrahim Hussein Beyt Khatib, a Turkish national who was jailed for life after being charged with entering Iraq illegally, possessing illegal weapons, and taking part in the insurgency.

Sayyid Saad Sayyid Abdul Rahman al Karni, a Saudi national, and Hamza Ahmad Khalil, from an unidentified Arab country, both received 15 years behind bars for participating in terrorist operations and illegally entering the country.

In addition, Hassan Mohammad Arabi Abassiyah, a Tunisian national, received four years for illegally entry.
