AMMAN, Jordan, (AP) – Two Jordanian websites have begun translating into Arabic the U.S. State Department cables pertaining to Jordan released by WikiLeaks.

The sites, AmmanNet.net and 7iber.com, said Tuesday that they wanted to inform Jordanians and Arabs about the secret cables by “removing the language barrier” and called on experienced translators to help with the material.

One cable cites Jordanian officials expressing concern that any war between the U.S. and Iran would only weaken the Arab moderates without ending Tehran’s support for terrorism or its controversial nuclear program.

AmmanNet website manager Mohammad Ersan urged for the creation of a “Jordanian Wikileaks” where citizens would publish important documents.
