RIYADH, (KUNA) — Saudi Arabia has its first ever woman as editor in chief for a magazine named ”Gold and Jewelry”, according to a statement by the magazine”s publishing house on Tuesday.

The statement said Abrar Ahmed Al-Atheem is a businesswoman, an international pilot and a fellow member of the British Geological Society with a long record of participation in international jewelry exhibitions.

The Saudi-licensed magazine is the first of its kind in the Middle East region with special interest in economic and social issues and with a special focus on gold and jewelry.

The publishing house, Dar AL-Aeza for advertisement and media, said the magazine will be circulated in different world capitals.

AL-Atheem manages several London-based investment institutions, besides chairing AL-Atheem charity which sponsors orphans, helps the handicapped and families of inmates.
