CAIRO,(KUNA) — Arab Ministers of Information meet for their 38th council session in the Arab league tomorrow, to discuss the establishment of an Arab satellite channel that broadcasts Arab issues in English and other foreign languages.

Kuwait will be represented by the Minister of Information Dr. Anes Al-Rushaid, accompanied by Ministry Undersecretary Sheikh Faisal Al-Malich Al-Sabah and Undersecretary for Foreign Media Department Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah.

The council will discuss producing further programs to unveil the political and humanitarian crisis resulted by the separating wall in the occupied lands and to shed the light on the suffering of children and Palestinian families.

The meeting”s agenda includes 29 articles of various topics, including coordination among Arab media bodies in supporting the Arab cause. The council will also discuss ways to support the Palestinian intifadha in facing the Israeli occupation, the peace process in accordance with Madrid”s conference and Israel”s commitment to international resolutions.

Ministers of Information will also look into the issue of media differentiation between terrorism which is condemned by Arabs and resistance which is based on struggle towards freedom and liberation.

On the other hand, the meeting”s agenda will also discuss supporting Lebanon in international forums and refusing the accountability law against Syria.

The conferees will also support a media campaign against the use of mass destruction weapons.
