Riyadh, June 3, SPA — The Saudi Tourism Higher Authority has launched its campaign in local and Arab media organizations for the summer season of 2005.
The campaign entitled "Know the Kingdom" will last until July 8.
The Authority”s Assistant Deputy Secretary General and Director General of Marketing, Dr. Fahd Al-Garbou said, "the media remains the most important channel to deliver the message of tourism."
He said the campaign involved a budget of over SR 6 million, adding that some media organizations had already extended discounts ranging between 40-50 per cent of their rates for the campaign.
Dr. Al-Garbou added that the campaign would be supported by a project called "The Free Tourist Phone" starting on June 15, during the summer season in 15 cities.
