Riyadh–The Saudi Higher Tourism Commission will participate in the Mediterranean Travel Conference, due to be opened on Sept 6, 2005 at Cairo International Center for Conferences and Exhibitions.

Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of the Saudi Higher Tourism Commission, said the Commission will display at the conference the Kingdom”s various tourism modes in addition to the elements and components that make tourism attractive in the country.

Prince Sultan bin Salman said the Kingdom”s 120 square meter pavilion will display activities of the parties concerned with tourism including the activities of hotels, resorts, and travel and tourism companies as well as organizers of Umrah (minor Hajj)

Prince Sultan bin Salman underscored the importance of investment in the tourism projects as well as enhancing cooperation among the Arab countries in the field of tourism.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi tourism companies concluded last year at the Mediterranean Travel Conference more than SR 40 million worth deals.

Representatives of more than 30 countries including Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Australia, Canada, Brazil, India, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus as well as the Arab countries, will attend the Travel Conference of this year.
